Megyn Kelly's NBC morning show has come to an end.
NBC released a statement this morning that read "Megyn Kelly Today is not returning. Next week, the 9 a.m hour will be hosted by other TODAY co-anchors."
The cancellation came shortly after Megyn made comments about how she thought black face was OK during a panel discussion.
"But what is racist? Because you get in trouble if you're a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on white face for Halloween...Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing like a character"
Megyn apologized to her colleagues for the comment and later took to her show to apologize to her fans but I guess that just wasn't cutting it for NBC.
A source told PEOPLE "They're contacting the staff and reassigning everyone today.Everyone's being told that they still have a home here, but it won't be on Megyn's show, They haven't made an official announcement about the show, but everyone knows what it means when they're being moved somewhere else. The show is clearly over."
Megyn could return to Fox News but.., the network has stated "We are extremely happy with our entire lineup."
She was defintely being petty.
